Terms of use

The rules for using GROUPLESS and for booking a paid place. Last updated 3 November 2026.

What GROUPLESS is

GROUPLESS shows short summaries of the notices that Second Life stores send to their groups, with links to the stores. It is free to use. GROUPLESS is not affiliated with or sponsored by Linden Research, Inc. (Linden Lab). Second Life® and Linden Lab® are trademarks or registered trademarks of Linden Research, Inc.

Check before you buy

Software writes our summaries from each store's notice. Prices, end times and gifts can change, and a summary can be wrong. The store's own notice and its vendor in Second Life are what count. We are not a party to anything you buy from a store.

Store names and pictures

Store names, logos and pictures belong to their stores. A store owner can take their store off GROUPLESS at any time: remove your store.

Paid places

A store listed on GROUPLESS, or an event, party, club or creator, can book a place. You pick a place and its days on the Advertise page, then pay the exact amount in L$ to our bot in Second Life. The payment is the approval: your place runs on those days by itself. You pay the price shown when you booked.

An ad that is not for a listed store, and any ad with its own link, links only to Second Life places and pages: a Second Life map link (SLurl), a Marketplace page, a world.secondlife.com page, or a Flickr, Primfeed, Linktree, Facebook or Instagram page.

Featured cards can add our carousel: on each booked day the ad is also the first card, labelled FEATURED, in our daily Instagram and Facebook carousel, for L$400 a day more. The carousel is posted once a day; we do not promise its reach.

An unpaid booking is let go after 2 hours. If another payment takes one of your days before yours arrives, we refund you.

Every paid place is labelled Featured or Sponsored. We do not promise a number of views or taps; your report shows the real numbers.

Your picture and text must follow the Second Life Terms of Service and Community Standards, must not mislead, and must not use another brand's name or pictures without its permission. We can refuse such an ad or take it down; if we take down a paid ad, we refund the days that did not run.
