Privacy and cookies
GROUPLESS is a free list of Second Life deals. We count visits without cookies and we never follow you to other sites. This page says what we keep, why, and for how long. Last updated 3 November 2026.
No cookies, so no cookie banner
This site sets no cookies and keeps nothing in your browser. The one exception is the switch at the bottom of this page, and only if you use it. There are no advertising networks, no Google Analytics and no social media trackers on GROUPLESS.
What we count when you visit
For each page you open we keep the page, the time, the name of the site that sent you (for example google.com, never the full address) and your country as two letters, which Cloudflare tells us.
To count each visitor once a day, our server makes a short code from your IP address and your browser's name, mixed with a random key. The code changes every day and cannot be turned back into your IP address. We do not keep your IP address with it.
While a page is open, it tells our server once a minute that it is still open, so we can see how many people are on the site right now. We keep this in memory only, for two and a half minutes.
When you tap Teleport, Marketplace or Group, we count the store, the button and the page you came from. For paid places we count how many times each one was shown and tapped, for the advertiser's report. None of this keeps your IP address.
We use these numbers only to see what people use and to show advertisers how many people saw their place. We do not sell them and we do not join them with other data.
Server logs and Cloudflare
Like every web server, ours writes a short log of each request (IP address, browser, page and time) to keep the site safe and to find faults. The logs are deleted after 14 days.
GROUPLESS runs behind Cloudflare, which protects the site and delivers it quickly. Cloudflare also measures how fast our pages load, without cookies (Cloudflare Web Analytics). See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Pictures from Second Life
Store logos load straight from Second Life's picture service, so your browser asks Linden Lab's server for them. We send no referrer with these requests. Deal pictures are kept on our own server.
When you book a paid place
We keep what you enter (your Second Life name, the store or the name of your event, your picture link, your line and your link) and the payment that Second Life sends us (the payer's name, the amount and the transaction). We need these to run your place, to send your report and to keep our accounts. An unpaid booking is let go after 2 hours.
If you tick "IM me when new places or offers open", we keep that choice with your Second Life name and may send you an IM in Second Life about new places or offers. To stop, IM eyemser Resident. Nothing is sent if you leave it unticked.
When you ask to remove your store
The removal form sends us the store name, the name you give and your message. We use them only to handle your request.
Links to other sites
Our Instagram, Facebook and Second Life links are plain links. Nothing from those sites loads on GROUPLESS until you open them, and their own privacy rules apply there.
Your choices and rights
You can turn off counting in this browser. We then keep one setting in your browser's storage, which says "do not count", and nothing else. We also do not count visits from browsers that send Global Privacy Control.
You can ask what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. GROUPLESS is run by eyemser Resident: send an IM in Second Life. If you live in the EU or the UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
If this page changes, the date at the top changes too.
